PLEASE NOTE

The Alamo Mission Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, will celebrate Texas Independence Day on March 2, 2018, in front of the Alamo on Alamo Plaza, in partnership with the Alamo. This will also be an SA300 Tricentennial Event as part of San Antonio's year-long celebration of the 300 year anniversary of the founding of the Alamo as Mission San Antonio de Valero and the founding of the Presidio San Antonio de Béxar to protect it, marking the beginning of our San Antonio community in 1718. HONORED SPEAKERS AT THE EVENT WILL BE Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and Dr. Carolina Castillo Crimm, Ph.D., nominee for Texas State Historian. The event will also honor Fox Tech Health and Law Magnet School as the oldest public school in the City of San Antonio, and Roy Barrera, Sr. will speak in tribute to the school. The event is free and all guests are welcome.
